About Air France
Air France is the French flag carrier and one half of the Air France-KLM group. Its long-haul and connecting traffic is concentrated at Paris Charles de Gaulle. From there it serves France and the rest of Europe, North and South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, along with the French overseas territories in the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean. The airline helped found SkyTeam. On long-haul routes it offers Economy, Premium and Business cabins, and selected aircraft also have the La Premiere first class cabin.
If you sell or build around Air France, IATA.co gives you two ways in: the booking portal for manual searches and the flights API for automated ones. Both return live fares. Air France fares appear in your search results whenever our flight suppliers offer them for your route and dates. You pay from your prepaid balance, and the baggage, change and refund terms of the chosen fare are listed before confirmation.
Air France airline codes explained
Air France uses the two-letter IATA airline code AF and the three-letter ICAO code AFR. The IATA code AF is the one shown on tickets, fare displays and booking screens, while the ICAO code AFR is used in air traffic control and flight planning.
Air France is a full-service carrier, based in France, operating mainly from Paris (CDG). It is a member of SkyTeam.
Booking Air France fares as a travel agent
Travel agents book Air France fares on IATA.co without their own IATA accreditation. Activate an agency account, top up a prepaid balance, then search live AF fares in the booking portal: the price, baggage and fare rules are shown with each offer before you confirm, and the amount is deducted from your balance. Air France results appear whenever our flight suppliers return them for your route and dates, so what you can book follows live supplier content rather than a direct airline deal.
Search Air France (AF) through the flights API
Developers and agencies can run the same Air France search from their own site, app or back office through the IATA.co flights API. Filter a search by the carrier code AF and read the fares back as JSON, then book from the same prepaid balance. See the flights API and the API docs for the full reference.
