Akasa Air is one of India's newer airlines, a low-cost carrier headquartered in Mumbai. Its main operating bases are Mumbai (BOM) and Bengaluru, and it flies a single type of narrow-body jet in an all-economy layout. The network is mostly domestic, connecting the big metros with each other and with a growing list of other Indian cities. It has also started international flights, beginning with destinations in the Gulf. Akasa Air is independent of the large Indian airline groups and does not belong to an alliance.
