Emirates is the Dubai-based international airline of the United Arab Emirates. Almost every flight it operates starts or ends at Dubai International (DXB), which works as a connecting point between Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia and the Americas. The airline flies wide-body aircraft only, so it is mostly a long-haul and medium-haul choice. It sells economy, business and first class, with premium economy on part of the fleet. Emirates does not belong to any of the three global alliances. It works closely with its sister carrier flydubai, which adds shorter regional routes through the same hub.
