About ITA Airways
ITA Airways is the Italian flag carrier and the successor to Alitalia, whose AZ code it still uses. Rome Fiumicino is its hub for long-haul and connecting flights, and Milan Linate is its second base, mostly for business routes within Italy and Europe. Beyond Europe it flies to the Americas, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia. After the Lufthansa Group became a shareholder, ITA left SkyTeam and is now a Star Alliance member, so older references that list it under SkyTeam are out of date. Long-haul cabins are Business, Premium Economy and Economy.
