Nepal Airlines is the state-owned flag carrier of Nepal, based at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (KTM). It runs two quite different operations. Jet aircraft fly international routes to India, the Gulf, Southeast Asia and East Asia, carrying tourists, trekkers and the many Nepalis who work abroad. Small turboprops fly domestic services, including to short airstrips in hill and mountain districts that have few road links. The airline sells economy and business class on its international flights and is not a member of any alliance.
