About Asiana Airlines

Asiana Airlines is a South Korean full-service airline based at Seoul Incheon International Airport, using the code OZ. It is now a subsidiary of Korean Air, and the two are in the process of merging into a single carrier. Asiana has long been a Star Alliance member, but it has announced that it will leave the alliance in December 2026 as part of that merger, after which its flights are due to move under Korean Air. Until then it continues to fly to Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and Australia, with Business and Economy cabins.

Because the airline is in transition, treat the search result as the reference for who operates a flight and under which code. On IATA.co, Asiana Airlines fares appear in your search results whenever our flight suppliers offer them for your route and dates. Search in the booking portal or through the flights API and pay from your prepaid balance. Fare rules are shown before you confirm. For travel dates after the merger, check the latest information from the airline.

Asiana Airlines airline codes explained

Asiana Airlines uses the two-letter IATA airline code OZ and the three-letter ICAO code AAR. The IATA code OZ is the one shown on tickets, fare displays and booking screens, while the ICAO code AAR is used in air traffic control and flight planning.

Asiana Airlines is a full-service carrier, based in South Korea, operating mainly from Seoul (ICN). It is a member of Star Alliance.

Booking Asiana Airlines fares as a travel agent

Travel agents book Asiana Airlines fares on IATA.co without their own IATA accreditation. Activate an agency account, top up a prepaid balance, then search live OZ fares in the booking portal: the price, baggage and fare rules are shown with each offer before you confirm, and the amount is deducted from your balance. Asiana Airlines results appear whenever our flight suppliers return them for your route and dates, so what you can book follows live supplier content rather than a direct airline deal.

Search Asiana Airlines (OZ) through the flights API

Developers and agencies can run the same Asiana Airlines search from their own site, app or back office through the IATA.co flights API. Filter a search by the carrier code OZ and read the fares back as JSON, then book from the same prepaid balance. See the flights API and the API docs for the full reference.
